Water Baptism Ceremony

9:00 AM09:00

Water Baptism Ceremony

Jesus Christ, our Lord got baptized! Why?

Jesus spoke and also showed us how to live a purposeful life doing the will of the Father. Baptism serves 2 key purposes:

Obedience: When we get baptized like our Lord did, we are submitting to his commands. It is also an act of faith on our part.

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20

Confession: Water baptism is you publicly confessing your faith in the Jesus Christ and showing your commitment. It symbolizes Christ’s burial and resurrection. Our entrance into the water during baptism identifies us with Christ’s death, burial and resurrection from the dead. It is a crucial step after salvation and both acts are a crucial foundation to the Christian life.

“Going under the water was a burial of your old life; coming up out of it was a resurrection, God raising you from the dead as he did Christ. When you were stuck in your old sin-dead life, you were incapable of responding to God. God brought you alive—right along with Christ! Think of it! All sins forgiven, the slate wiped clean, that old arrest warrant canceled and nailed to Christ’s cross.” Colossians 2:12-14 MSG

We are excited to announce that the next Baptism Ceremony is on August 18!

The Worship Gathering 2019: Extreme Worship

But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;” 1 Peter 2:9 King James Version

The word, “peculiar” was used in the King James version of the Bible not as we commonly know it today. Today, we think of that word as something or someone weird or strange, but at the time the King James Version was being published, being called, “Peculiar” was used to describe someone’s property. It was a direct translation of the original Greek Word used in the New Testament.

The Lord calls us a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation and a “peculiar people”. He claims us and calls us His posession and His own. Therefore as His own, we have the privilege of declaring His praises into the earth.

Join us for a free 2-Day Event to praise, worship and learn how we can become more grounded in the revelation of who we are in Christ; a peculiar people! The schedule is listed below:

21 Days of Prayer and Fasting
Apr

to Apr 21

21 Days of Prayer and Fasting

Our lives can get really busy with things like school, work, family, and other obligations. The combination of prayer and fasting is a powerful way to tone down the “voices” and busyness in our lives. As we do this and refocus on the Lord, He rewards us. Our Lord Jesus is seen through the Scriptures teaching about it also leading by example.

This is a time of personal and corporate consecration. We will be praying for personal needs, corporate needs, spiritual and numerical growth, and for a greater harvest of souls in 2019. We will also spend time praying for an increased impact and influence of our church family in their respective communities, market places and families.

We pray that you will experience the presence and power of God in an extraordinary way as you commit yourself to Him over the next twenty‐one days. May God continue to bless you and enlarge you as you seek Him first!

CareGroups Resume

Everybody wants to belong! We all want a place where we feel at home and can connect with people who understand us with all our quirky ways; a place where we are accepted, build relationships and can cry and laugh with others. A place where everyone knows our name.

And everybody needs to be discipled. We all need a place where we can grow spiritually, love deeply, and serve selflessly. A place where we can experience God with others and become devoted disciples of Christ.

Our Care-Groups provide all of this, plus more!

After a 3 month break where training of the leaders has been happening, our groups are starting up again. These groups meet once each week in various homes within the community.

Date: Wednesday, March 13, 2019

Time: 7:30pm

For more information on how to join a CareGroup or to host a group in your home, contact Pastor Peabody at zpeabody@bwomi.org or (301)-588-8099

Water Baptism Class

Water Baptism Class

Jesus Christ, our Lord got baptized! Why?

Jesus spoke and also showed us how to live a purposeful life doing the will of the Father. Baptism serves 2 key purposes:

Obedience:When we get baptized like our Lord did, we are submitting to his commands.

Confession:Water baptism is you publicly confessing your faith in the Jesus Christ and showing your commitment.

Sign up for this 1-Day Class in preparation for our December 10 Baptism Ceremony!
